 What? Danny asked frantically.
Stay by me please, please! Jason said allowing tears to flow down his eyes,
becoming short breathed at the pain that was intensified by the tears.
Okay Danny said, looking at Jason with tears pouring from his eyes. Jason
thought about a lot of things, and he suddenly remembered the lady at Atlantic City that
went weird, telling him to Have fun now, you might not get another chance. That was
it; she knew this was going to happen. Tameera was that life long friend that the lady told
him about. He let her go though, he let her go! He wanted to be a father; a godfather was
good enough. He wanted a boyfriend, and to see the ocean, and go places and see things.
He had done all of that. Then he remembered his tarot reading, having a bad future, but
only for a short time, and he had accomplished his goal of trusting people more, and
standing up for himself, rather than allowing everyone to walk all over him. He then
began thinking of things he hadn t done, being a scientist, a successful wealthy man.
With all of these thoughts coming and going, Jason began to cry. He also knew that this
was it; it was time for him to go. No matter what anyone else said, he was going home
today to a place beyond the planes of this earth. He then really felt the life he had left
trying to leave his body. He was then struck with fear, fear of what may happen next. He
turned to Danny, Danny! Danny! I m dying.
Oh god no! No don t say that. Jason hang in there! Danny cried. He could see
all the blood that was lost. The asphalt had rubbed its way straight to the bone in some
places. There was a particularly nasty blood stream coming from his left leg.
I can t, it s not that easy, but listen& Jason said, feeling a depressed, sad,
giving up feeling, & I love you, tell my family I love them, Oh God! He screamed out
painfully knowing he was only seconds away from letting go. Jason had to concentrate as
hard as he could to hold on as long as he could. Bye.
Jason, no! Hold on, hang in there. Danny demanded tears dropping rapidly off
of his cheeks. I love you! he said, giving Jason a kiss on the cheek. Here they come
Jason; here comes the ambulance, just hold on. Danny said looking down at him.
Danny& I love you with all my heart. He cried, like no one could every cry. I
love you. Jason stated just before he could hold onto life no longer. Danny watched as
his body went limp and his eyes closed.
Oh my god! Jason, no! Please, no! Oh my god! Jason! Danny screamed,
holding Jason in his arms. Danny was shaking vigorously, now traumatized as he was
now holding a dead body in his arms. It wasn t just any dead body. It was the body of the
man he loved. Of the one he had selfishly declined several times before, and now when
he is finally ready to open his arms to him, he is gone. He didn t want to let go and bent
over Jason crying.
Son, let go of him, The EMT said to Danny, hurriedly bending over Jason and
checking for vital signs. He has no vital signs call in the medevac. The EMT shouted
backwards, then in a hushed voice said, Oh my god Jason, what happened to you.
Randy the EMT couldn t believe what he was seeing. Jason now lay dead in a pool of his
own blood. It left the blanket soaked in blood. Despite this scene the whole team quickly
began to try and resuscitate him.
Danny sat back and watched and just cried and cried hoping that in some way
Jason s soul would come back into his body. He didn t want this great thing to be over.
He loved Jason and could not live on without him. This day was perfect, it was
everything Danny had ever dreamed of and now the one that he loved was gone. Jason
did not realize all the times that Danny sat up and thought of Jason. He was young so he
could not get in touch with him. He probably sat awake at night thinking about Jason as
much as Jason had himself of Danny. Now however that was gone, no more Jason.
Danny himself soon blacked out from blood loss, and the overwhelming pain, not just
physical, but emotional as well.
Chapter 21
Jason s mother was at home waiting up for Terrance when she received a knock
on the door. Her face fell as she heard the news that the sheriff had to tell her. She began
crying and fell onto the floor wailing in pure agony. Her face red with pain, his siblings [ Pobierz całość w formacie PDF ]
